What you will visit during the Pompeii Tour
This tour departs from Naples every day, at two different times (morning and afternoon). After 30 minutes of driving you will reach Pompeii. Our archaeological guide*, which you will meet at the car park, will help you with the purchase of tickets for the archaeological site of Pompeii.
Our guide will offer you the basics of the city of Pompeii and will show you the most important places like the thermal baths, the frescos of Lupanare, the Macellum with its “tabernae”, the famous workshops located in the commercial streets, the Basilica and the Casa del Fauno.
Visit to one of the most famous Roman cities of the antiquity among the different Regios brought to light in the last two hundred years, with its streets and public and private buildings.
The reference entrance is the most comfortable one of “Porta dell’Anfiteatro”, from here you start the tour from the same amphitheater, continue to ‘orto dei Fuggiaschi’ and we will visit some private houses that we will meet along the way in Via dell’Abbondanza.
We will admire the suggestive frescoes, in very good part still intact, and we will enter into the daily life of a well-off Pompeian family.
We will walk through the streets and taverns, the public baths and the brothels up to the city Forum with the monumental arcades, the Capitolium, the city warehouses and the Basilica with the court. We will live a typical day of the Roman citizen in a living and productive city like Pompeii.
We will try to understand what happened in those last days of summer (or perhaps it was autumn, as some studies claim?), We will try to imagine the first moments of the eruption, the pyroclastic rain that caused the roofs to collapse, the surge that knocked down the walls. The home of the Faun is certainly a must and after that we will head south to the gladiator gym, the theater and the odeon and finally we will return to the necropolis of porta Nocera.
You will have the opportunity to take numerous photos during breaks!
We want to point out, however, that the tour route will depend on the crowd and weather conditions.
At the end of the tour in Pompeii you will return to Naples in the established meeting places.

This professional figure should not be confused with that of the tour leader, who is instead limited to assisting and providing information to tourists, sometimes accompanying them even on the sites of interest, but without conducting the guided tours.

I ritrovamenti a seguito degli scavi, iniziati per volere di Carlo III di Borbone, sono una delle migliori testimonianze della vita romana, nonché la città meglio conservata di quell'epoca. Approfondisci
